Bible Digs : Old Testament Kings👑

Mr. Breinling and Miss Jensen put together a color-coded system to help our students explore the Old Testament Kings and Prophets—tracking every king, prophet, event, and lesson visually.

From faithful leaders to rebellious rulers, from bold prophets to exile, this study reminds us how patient, powerful, and purposeful God is through every generation.

We love seeing students engage deeply with Scripture and discover God’s story come alive!

🚀 STEM Enrichment Rocket Launch! 🚀

Our students had an incredible time outside today launching the rockets they built during STEM enrichment! Each blastoff was powered by a fun chemical reaction, giving students a hands-on look at how gases, pressure, and reactions create motion.

Lots of learning, lots of laughter, and LOTS of excitement! We love turning science into moments they’ll never forget. 🌟
🎉 We have BIG news at GCA! 🎉
Our school was blessed with a brand-new OMTech laser print and engraving machine, generously donated and already sparking excitement across campus!

Students are thrilled to dive in and expand their knowledge as they explore this advanced technology—opening doors for hands-on learning in design, engineering, creativity, and innovation. 🔬✨

We can’t wait to see what they create! 🚀
Bible Digs: Old Testament Kings — Solomon 👑

This week in Bible Digs, our students explored the life of King Solomon, a man known for extraordinary wisdom, yet also remembered for the complicated choices that pulled his heart away from God.

Our memory verse for this lesson came from 1 Chronicles 28:9:
“And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.”

Solomon teaches us something important:
He had many GOOD qualities — wisdom, leadership, knowledge, creativity — yet he also had BAD moments where he drifted from God’s commands.

So how can someone be so GOOD… and yet so BAD?
Because like us, Solomon was COMPLICATED.

This week we’re helping students reflect:
➡️ In all the complicated parts of Solomon’s life, how was God still at work?
➡️ What about our own lives?
➡️ Are we so different from Solomon… or maybe more like him than we admit?

The answer, of course, is COMPLICATED — and that’s exactly why we need a perfect, faithful King: Jesus.
Get to Know Our Teachers 🎓 — Mr. Johnson Edition!

We’re continuing our Fall Teacher Feature with someone who wears many hats around GCA — not unlike this greatly honorable graduation cap!

Meet Mr. Johnson — our Head Administrator, LMA instructor, and Physical Education teacher. He leads with wisdom, serves with heart, and somehow manages to be everywhere at once (we’re convinced he has superpowers 👀 -- at the very least he's a SUPER leader and greatly loved).

His favorite subject growing up? Science! No surprise there — he’s always been curious, hands-on, and ready to explore how God’s world works.

Show some appreciation for Mr. Johnson by dropping a 🎓 in the comments!

Old Testament Kings: King David 👑

Carrying on OT Kings in Bible Digs, students learned about King David — the shepherd boy God chose to be king.

✨ Key truths we discovered:
• God looks at the heart, not outward appearance. ❤️
• Faith pleases God more than fear. 🙏
• Worship and repentance keep our hearts right with Him. 🎶
• And through David’s line came Jesus, the Son of David — our forever King. ✝️

First up is Mrs. Kane, our wonderful K–2 grade teacher, starting things off with this ’80s gem — classic side pony and all! 🤩

As a student, her favorite subject was Reading: “I loved how a good book could take me on an adventure to another place.” 📚✨

Drop a 🍯 in the comments (in honor of her favorite coffee flavor!) to show some love and appreciation for Mrs. Kane! 💛

Biblical principles are integrated into every aspect of our curriculum, guiding students to develop a strong moral compass and a heart for service. Through daily Bible study, prayer, and discipleship, we encourage students to grow in their faith and build godly relationships with peers and mentors.

This year we will stand on Acts 20:24 for our yearly school memory verse declaring unity in purpose for the gospel of Jesus Christ! “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
